Volunteers Recruitment Fair (Wednesday 10th June, 1:00pm - 7:00pm at York House, Twickenham).
Come along and find out about local volunteering opportunities. There will be a variety of charity and non-profit organisations looking for volunteers. Over 800 people have attended
the previous 4 Fairs with nearly 200 of them going on to volunteer with organisations around the Richmond Borough. As always there will be variety of opportunities available which include, Gardening, Office Work , IT support, Befriending, Design, Caring and Conservation work to name a few. But the best way to find out is to come along and see…and of course it’s free ! So why not benefit from this unique opportunity to see so many organisations under one roof?

Bike Across Cultures Community Event & Volunteers Picnic (Saturday 20th
June, All day, from 11.00 am at Kingston Gate, Richmond Park).
Richmond Volunteer Centre has joined up with EMAG (Ethnic Minorities Action Group) to support this popular family day in the community calendar. The good news is you don’t need a bike! This is a cycling and walking event promoting healthier lifestyles. Other activitiesinclude face and mendhi (henna) hand painting, Indian head massage, basic bike maintenance and much more. This is also an opportunity to chat with service providers, including volunteer centre staff, community police and health and social care workers.

Volunteering Taster Day (Friday 26th June, 10.00am - 1.00pm at The Volunteer
Centre, 1 Princes Street, Richmond).
What do volunteers do? How many hours will I need to offer? Do I need skills and
experience? What types of organisations want volunteers? Find out the answers to these
questions and much more in this introduction to volunteering workshop aimed at everyone
