Richmond Children's Fund

Children's Fund is a central government initiative with funding coming via the Department of Education and Skills. It supports children and families in their localities and targets a range of needs including young carers and children with special needs.

At a local level the fund is managed by Richmond Council for Voluntary Service and is targeted at children aged 8-13 living and going to school in five wards- Mortlake, Castelnau, Heathfield, Ham and Petersham Riverside and Hampton North.

The work of the Children's Fund supports the five outcomes of the government white paper Every Child Matters

  • Be Healthy
  • Stay Safe
  • Enjoy and Achieve
  • Make a Positive Contribution
  • Achieve Economic Well-Being
