(The winner will be an inspirational young person, with amazing dedication, making a significant contribution to an organisation or local community as a volunteer)

South West Trains Good Citizen Award

(The winner will be an inspirational person, with amazing dedication, involved in volunteering that has dramatically improved the quality of life for local people)

Richmond & Twickenham Primary Care Trust Health Improvement Award

(The winner will have improved the physical or mental health of a community or group of people. It could be an individual volunteer or voluntary organisation.)

Richmond Churches Housing Trust Diversity Award

(The winner’s activities will have encouraged increased respect and involvement of people of different cultures and abilities. It could be an individual volunteer or voluntary organisation)

Richmond Adult Community College Employee Volunteer Award

(The winner will have offered their professional expertise for free e.g. legal, financial, PR, to a local voluntary organisation or community).

Richmond CVS Good Governance Award

(The winner will be an individual trustee who has shown notable dedication to the work of an organisation. Their contribution has been significant, innovative and/or inspiring).

Morgan Langley

(The winner will have used IT to benefit the community, e.g. to improve service-delivery or develop web design. It could be an individual volunteer or voluntary organisation)

Unity Trust Bank Good Practice Award

(The winner will be a voluntary organisation which has demonstrated a strong commitment to volunteer involvement, and developed quality support, training, and recognition of volunteers’ contribution).

LBRuT Green Volunteer Award

(The winners could be an individual or organisation that has been dedicated to the local environment, inspiring others and leading to an improvement in their local area e.g. tidying public land, recycling, planting).

The Rotary Club of Richmond Lifetime Achievement Award

(The winner will be a truly inspirational person who has dedicated much of their life to helping a local cause. They will have made a real difference to their chosen organisation(s) and the local community).


Nomination details *

Please use the following section to tell us why your nominee should win a Community Award. Tell us as much as you can about the impact of their volunteering. For example: How have they helped the local community? Which area of voluntary work are they involved in? Why do you think they deserve special recognition? We suggest a minimum of 200 words.

A few rules and guide lines:

All winners must volunteer within the borough of Richmond upon Thames.

Anyone nominated for the Young Citizen Award must be aged 25 or under on 11 November 2008.

All nominations will be treated in confidence. No correspondence will be entered into. Nominations will not be returned.

Award winners will be invited to take part in publicity.

The judges’ decisions are final.

All nominations must be received by 
5pm on Friday 5 September 2008
